Macy's launches Clean Design Home x Martex | Home Textiles Today

New York-Early next year, Macy's will launch the first global, licensed hypoallergenic textile brand founded by a black American woman.

The Clean Design Home x Martex series, created by entrepreneur Robin Wilson in collaboration with WestPoint Home, will be launched in 165 Macy’s stores on January 2 after an online preview on December 26. After the launch of Macy's, WestPoint Home plans to distribute the bed and bath series through its website and selected department stores and specialty stores starting in the spring of 2022.

This species focuses on controlling asthma and allergens such as dust mites, pet dander and pollen. The series includes pillows, bed sheet sets, quilts, bathrobes and towels, as well as a series of practical allergen barrier options for mattress and pillow protection.

"Robin Wilson brings a new level of expertise in clean design and anti-allergic products that we have not explored so far," said Regan Iglesia, Chief Marketing Officer of WestPoint Home. "We have studied the market through Robin Wilson and believe that Needs and desires for'better' products in this category."

Through her Clean Design Home brand, Wilson is known for its influence in the areas of environmental protection, sustainability and hypoallergenic issues. She is also the founder of A Blue Egg Corporation, a conglomerate that aims to combine real estate, design and licensing. In 2020, she was named one of the top 100 female founders in the world by Inc. magazine.

The Clean Design Home x Martex collection features minimalist white, gray, light blue, ivory and blush, and will also include 400-thread count sheets and duvets. All products are made of BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) cotton and have obtained Oeko-Tex green manufacturing certification. The towel is Supima cotton loop, and the tightly woven bathrobe is lint-free to reduce the presence of allergens in the air. Prices range from US$15 to US$275
